Key Accountabilities/Primary Responsibilities (6-10 bullet points maximum)
  • Further develop an existing in-house CAA code to enable simulations of aerofoil-turbulence interaction.
  • Perform high-fidelity simulations to generate benchmark data.
  • Analyse the data to extract flow physics.
  • Develop modelling approaches based on the data generated with the high-fidelity simulations.
  • Regularly disseminate findings by taking the lead in preparing publication materials for referred journals, presenting results at conferences, or exhibiting work at other appropriate events.
  • Attend weekly progress meetings with the project supervisors.
  • Regularly discuss and coordinate the work progress with the partner research fellow in experimental aeroacoustics.
  • Carry out administrative tasks associated with specified research funding and implementation of procedures required to ensure accurate and timely formal reporting, for example organisation of project meetings and documentation.
  • Contribute to the writing of bids for research funding.
  • Supervise junior staff in the relevant research field.
