There are expected to be 2 teams in this age group. All players and parents should be aware of the commitment required for these teams. These teams will compete through the summer season with the option of continuing through the fall season. Both teams will train twice a week for 90 minutes each session and will play games on weekends throughout the season. The number of practices and games and the requirement for attendance at these team events will necessitate a dedicated effort on the part of all team players and their parents. If your child is selected and you cannot make such a commitment, please reconsider accepting a spot on the team. If you do accept a spot on the team and cannot maintain your commitments to the team, the coach will limit your playing time to represent your level of commitment in all areas.

This fee covers all Freedom administrative costs through the end of June, including gym space, insurance, accounting fees, website hosting fees, director stipend and other general business expenses. The team fee due per player for the spring 2016season for Team #1 (based on a 10 player roster) is estimated to be $440. The team fee due per player for Team #2 is estimated to be $280. This amount does not include costs for uniforms or practice jerseys for new players which would be an additional $90. These costs can be potentially reduced by team fundraisers which have not been factored into these estimated amounts. Freedom spiritwear andother optional individual purchases and travel costs associated with out-of-town tournaments are also not included in this amount.
Team Placement Notification:
Following the second tryout, all players will be notified of their placement on a Freedom team by email. Everyone should receive notification of placement within one week from the second tryout. In order to facilitate the notification process, it is requested that players either accept or reject their offers within 24 hours of receiving this notification. If there are extenuating circumstances that prevent such a timely response, parents should contact the team coach to discuss any issues with their ability to make a prompt decision. A non-refundable deposit of the $225 spring season Freedom club fee is due upon acceptance of a roster spot.
Parent Volunteer Commitment:
Each Freedom team is managed by a board of volunteers comprised of parents from the individual team. Team volunteer positions include team manager, team treasurer, uniform coordinator, volunteer coordinator, social coordinator and various other positions that will help the team run smoothly. Each parent is requested to fill one of the volunteer roles for their team. In lieu of volunteering, parents are also given the option of making a direct donation to the Freedom scholarship fund. In addition to helping to support your individual team, the Freedom organization hosts our Freedom Challenge tournament the weekend ofApril 23-24 in which Freedom teams will play at a reduced rate. It is expected that all Freedom families volunteer a minimum of 2 hours of their time throughout the weekend helping with setup, concessions, admissions, clean up or other activities that will ensure the success of the tournament. Parent volunteers will receive one free admission to the tournament for each time slot worked. Families that do not volunteer will be required to pay the cost of weekend admission to attend the games.
Financial Support:
The Freedom believes that financial issues should not be a reason to exclude players from participating on Freedom teams. The Freedom does have a scholarship program to help provide financial assistance to those most in need. Please contact us at o discuss any financial concerns that you may have regarding fee payment.
