10:15 am President Marly Konstant called meeting to order.
Reading of previous meeting minutes, corrections to minutes, Assessor convention was held in Lead. Minutes were approved as corrected.
EO will mail treasurers report. Randy forgot (Marly made me write that). Actually, Becca forgot.
OLD BUSINESS
Letter to Cert Program. Table as Terry will be available in September to address.
Randy report= St. Louis meeting of Appraiser Advisory Council, Appraisal Foundation. Randy will have expense #’s in September. New qualifications coming up. Criteria is still being worked up.
Education Committee: Randy = New Fannie Mae Forms for September courses. Craig and Ken will be Friday for USPAP Most Frequent Violations.
ASSESSOSRS CONFERENCE = Marly read thank you from Shirley Mackey. Craig and Marly attended as PAASD Board. Well represented in golf tourney.
Marly = Summer courses in the past have not been very well attended. PAASD usually loses money. Education committee recommends PAASD discontinue the summer course. Ryan concurs with education committee recommendation. Board will discontinue. Put on membership agenda for annual meeting.
MENTOR REVIEW PROGRAM = Some states charge the trainees for experience in doing reports. Reviewer gives constructive critique on report. Trainees receive quality information and education. Denny asked Craig if there was a checklist. Craig informed the board that USPAP 1 & 2 checklist is used. Craig is impressed with states that have a trainee program. It forces trainee to learn proper appraisal. Appraiser Advisory Board is discussing changes.
FALL CONFERENCE = ASFMRA emailed flyer. Wed 9/21 – Fri 9/23. PAASD fun and games night on Thursday? Hospitality room at Holiday Inn. Board meeting Wed night.
CE is approved for next cycle.
Denny Wagner moved to adjourn. There was a second and motion approved. 10:07 am.
