Class of 2017: Senior Activities Calendar
*April 26th Mandatory Homeroom for all seniors in the cafeteria!!! Senior Spring Survey
must be returned to homeroom teacher. Senior Contracts for graduation are due.
April 27th Josten’s invitation delivery during all lunches; pay remaining balance
April 29th 7 pm – 11 pm Prom (be safe)!!!!! Hackney Warehouse - Murphy, NC
*May 1st-12th Senior EOCs & AP Exams / Attendance REQUIRED
May 5th All library fines, lost books monies, lunchroom monies, shop fees and yearbook ad monies
are due. All fines paid, books & uniforms returned and monies owed MUST be paid or NO cap and gown.
May 12th Seniors notify counseling department of any scholarships outside of the school (such as
athletic, academic, degree program scholarships, etc).
May 16th Senior Testing and Grades are completed; due in Powerschool by close of day.
*May 18th 8:00 am - Senior Awards Ceremony -- Attendance REQUIRED – Fine Arts Center
May 19th Ulympics! Annuals handed out after lunch in homeroom. Last official day for Seniors.
*May 19th Caps and Gowns given to seniors in homerooms. All monies paid, books & uniforms turned
in, lunchroom, shop fees and Sr ad monies paid or NO cap and gown. (SENIORS - DO NOT REMOVE NAME STICKERS FROM YOUR CAP AND GOWN!!)
May 21st 2:30 pm - Baccalaureate Service – First Baptist Church-wear graduation gowns (no caps).
The service begins at 3:00 pm.
**May 23rd 6:45 pm – Senior Scholarship Awards -- Report to The Fine Art Center wearing gowns (no
caps.) Program begins at 7:00 pm.
*May 24th 9:00 am – Report to HS cafeteria with your cap and gown (required) for picture. Caps and
gowns will be collected after picture (please make sure your name is in your gown). All
seniors who have received a scholarship MUST meet with Mrs. Keller in the cafeteria to write thank you notes. Graduation practice to follow. Students are NOT allowed to drive to stadium.
*May 25th 9:00 am – Seniors report to HS cafeteria. Graduation practice in stadium with chairs. Ice
Cream Social after practice. Students are not allowed to drive to stadium.
*May 26th 6:00 pm - Seniors must report on time!!!!! (location to be announced)
*May 26th 8:00 pm – GRADUATION – After Graduation seniors must pick up their diplomas in the field
house no later than 10:00 pm.
* Seniors are required to attend.
**Seniors who receive an invitation are expected to attend.
