I am writing regarding your request for information, which was received on 20th June.

In that request you asked us for information as shown below.

Where we have provided information regarding high rise tower blocks, this covers tower blocks owned by Southend-on-Sea Borough Council only. We do not hold information about other buildings. The Council considers a ‘high rise’ tower block to be 6 and above floors.

With that in mind I can confirm that the search for the information you requested has been completed and I can advise you of the following:

1.  list of the buildings within your borders that are considered tall buildings. The standard definition in use in building codes is 18m. If there is some other - hopefully similar - definition that would assist you in getting the information more easily, please do contact me. Ideally, we would get the height, too (either in storeys or as in metres/feet).
