POST:PR & Marketing Coordinator
HOURS:37.5 per week (Core hours 10am-4pm – flexibility essential as some out of hours working will be required))
Contract:One-year contract (possibly to be extended)
SALARY:£20,400pa plus pension and other benefits
HOLIDAY:25 days per annum plus bank and statutory holidays
LOCATION:Nightstop South Yorkshire, based in Sheffield
REPORTS TO:Nightstop South Yorkshire Manager and have a dotted line to the Communications & External Affairs Manager
An enhanced DBS check is required as this position will involve directly working with vulnerable young people.
SUMMARY OF JOB
Depaul has a wide range of services for young people and adults at risk of homelessness. We specialise in the provision of supported accommodation, with lasting commitments to the young people in Sheffield, the North East, Greater Manchesterand London.Depaul is immensely proud of its emergency accommodation network, Nightstop UK, largely delivered by Depaul in London and the North East, with a new service launching in 2016 in South Yorkshire. Other supporting services include family mediation and working with young people from the ’care’ and criminal justice systems.
This role is at the heart of the new Nightstop programme in South Yorkshire. We expect the PR & Marketing Coordinator will develop and implement a comprehensive and effective programme of PR, Marketing and Advertising activities to promote Nightstop South Yorkshire.
We expect the PR & Marketing Coordinator to be an:
•Experienced PR and Marketing professional,

•Diligent worker with strong writing skills and attention to detail.
Key Deliverables
Public Relations (PR) and Social Media
- Promote Depaul’s South Yorkshire Nightstop programme in the regional media
- Produce and distribute well-written, effective and accurate press releases, articles, case studiesand briefings about South Yorkshire Nightstop
- Act as the first point of contact for media enquiries about South Yorkshire Nightstop
- Draw up and implement a social media programme to promote South Yorkshire Nightstop
- Lead the PR & Marketing side of the service’s recruitment of Nightstop hosts in South Yorkshire
- Plan and manage the launch event for Nightstop South Yorkshire
- Produce short videos to promote Nightstop South Yorkshire online
- Create and publish press releases and other news about Nightstop South Yorkshire on the Depaul website
Marketing
- Coordinate the design, production and distribution of leaflets about Nightstop South Yorkshire for the local community
- Coordinate the design, production and distribution of leaflets for the players of the People’s Postcode Lottery (PPL), who are generously funding Nightstop South Yorkshire
- Coordinate the design, printing and dissemination of campaign posters, flyers and inserts
- Oversee the design and production of information leaflets about Nightstop South Yorkshire for young people
- Oversee the design and production of information leaflets about Nightstop South Yorkshire for agencies that refer young people to the service
Advertising
- Drawing up and implementing an advertising brief and schedule for possible advertisements on billboards, posters and buses in South Yorkshire, working within budget.

- Knowledge of the homeless / social care / young people sector (Desirable)
- Knowledge of using website Content Management Systems (CMS) (Desirable)

•You will be directly line managed by the Nightstop South Yorkshire Manager, but also have a dotted line to Depaul’s Communications & External Affairs Manager, who will advise you on the PR & Advertising Plan, project launch event and media training.

•A full induction and training to enhance the ‘hard’ and ‘soft’ skills required’.
