Job Title:Regional Partnership Manager - Midlands

Main Purpose of Role:To lead the work of Penny Brohn UK in the Midlands through effective implementation of operational plans. To identify, develop and maintain partnerships, networks and widerrelationships in the locality in order to improve the experience of people affected by cancer. To provide leadership and management to the local team and effective communication with the National Centre.

Responsible to:National Services Manager

Relationships:

To establish, develop and maintain key partnerships, networks and wider relationships in the locality. The post holder is expected to foster excellent working relationships with all staff, clients and supporters. As a member of the services team the post holder will work alongside other managers and other key departments. The post holder is expected to work inclusively and collaboratively across the organisation.

Main Duties:

  1. To effectively lead and implement the operational plan for the Midlands.
  1. To line manage the Penny Brohn Team ensuring successful coordination, promotion and delivery of local services, whilst working remotely and independently.
  1. To identify, develop and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders in the region and co-produce suitable models of service delivery in line with the needs of the local community and the strategic direction of Penny Brohn UK.
  1. To ensure key performance indicators are met and work closely with the National Services Manager.
  1. To undertake surveillance on future opportunities and to coordinate the development and implementation of agreed services in the Region.
  1. To project manage existing regional contracts and budgets to ensure excellent completion and delivery locally.
  1. To raise the profile of the Charity by networking and representing Penny Brohn UK within local and regional professional settings.
  1. To foster and develop relationships within health and social care commissioning structures, to embed the Penny Brohn Integrated pathway of Living Well services into a local cancer care pathway.
  1. To contribute to the audit and evaluation procedures for internal and external services.
  1. To attend and contribute to relevant meetings and CPD events.
  1. Work in collaboration with the fundraising department, to explore opportunities when presented in the region. This will include production of applications and engagement with regional commissioners
  1. To undertake other such duties as may become appropriate from time to time in order to achieve the Charity’s objectives.

Person Specification:

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Understanding of cancer services locally, regionally and nationally.
  • Previous success working in a ‘start up’ position.
  • Understanding of the survivorship agenda in cancer care.
  • Excellent communication skills and an understanding of effective resource management.
  • A proven track record of network building.
  • Operational management experience of clinical services.
  • A trained healthcare professional, with experience of working with people with cancer.
  • An understanding of working in a community settings alongside other health care providers.
  • Knowledge and experience of managing services with a whole person approach.
  • Resilient, self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
  • Dedicated and proactive.
  • Excellent team player.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Desirable

  • Experience of evaluation systems.
  • Advanced IT skills.
