TheGraduateStudentSenateisrecognizedbytheOhioUniversityBoardofTrusteesastheofficial representativebodyofgraduatestudentsatOhioUniversity.Werepresentthevoiceofthegraduatestudent populationandrecommendactionsontheirbehalftotheUniversityandcommunity.Additionally,Graduate StudentSenatestrivestokeepthegraduatestudentbodyinformedofallissuesrelevanttotheirstudent experience.Wereceivestudentcomplaints,investigateproblemsandconcerns,andworktowardtheirtimely resolution.OtherimportanttasksofGSSincludeprovidingacademicandadministrativeprograms,service opportunities,andcommunityactivitiesforthegraduatestudentbody.Weholdregular,publicmeetings throughouttheacademicyearandprovideaforuminwhichgraduatestudentscandiscussandactuponissues importanttotheirqualityoflifeandeducationatOhioUniversity.Thisyearweareexcitedtobeworkingwith theOhioUniversityStudentSenate,InternationalStudentUnion,GraduateCouncilandotherorganizationson projects,issuesandactivitiesthatwillbenefitallstudentsatourinstitution.
