How to get to

Royal Hospital Haslar and Fort Blockhouse

Rail:

1.  Train to Portsmouth Harbour.

  1. Leave the railway station and head, towards the harbour, turn left as you leave the station. Buy a ferry ticket at the machine. (£1.60)

3.  After the crossing walk up the ramp to the bus station. Taxis here.

4.  Walk 1km. Through the bus station, toward the Trinity Church turn left after the church, go over the bridge. In (Haslar Rd) follow the road around its curves, turn left into Fort Block house after submarine museum but before Royal Hospital Haslar.

From West:

1 Leave theM27 at Junction 9 A27 FAREHAM.

2. Roundabout 3rd exit A27 FAREHAM

3. Roundabout 2nd exit A27 FAREHAM

4. Complex junction Turn Right B3334 STUBBINGTON

5. Roundabout Straight on LEE ON SOLENT

6. Roundabout Straight on LEE ON SOLENT

7. Continue along B3333 (Sea front) for 3 miles

8. At Kingfisher caravan park turn into BROWNDOWN ROAD for 0.4 miles

9. Right at roundabout onto STOKES BAY ROAD for 1 miles

10. Straight on at roundabout onto FORT ROAD for 1 miles

11. Turn right onto HASLAR ROAD

12. Drive past Hospital entrance to the next turning on the right at the end of the wall. Security entrance to Fort Blockhouse.

1 Leave M27 at J12 take A27 FAREHAM. 1.1 miles

2 Roundabout A32 GOSPORT. 0.5 miles

3. Bear right B3385 LEE ON SOLENT 1.5 miles

4. Straight on at roundabout B3333 LEE ON SOLENT 1 mile

5. Straight across High street

6. Turn left along Sea Front

7. Continue along B3333 (Sea front) for 3 miles
