ASTR2011will provide a forum to exchange knowledge and share ideas that address intra and inter industry endeavors to limit and eliminate field failures of products and perhaps to re-visit the existing qualification specifications and testing procedures. The focus will be on improving strategies toscreen defects and weaknesses in electronic and electro-mechanical hardware and structural systems while reconciling twin needs of obtaining high product quality and reliability with thatof low product development and manufacturing costs and timely introduction of new products to market. The program will feature several keynote and invited presentations and a panel discussion. Industry leaders will participate in the program.

Paper submission instructions for authors

Abstracts must be received by March 15, 2011.

Abstract & Presentation document submission:

  • Abstracts should be submitted as a 1 page document in pdf format. The abstract should include sufficient information that would indicate clearly and concisely, the importance of the work and path towards development of the final presentation paper.
  • Abstracts should be sent directly to the General Chair, with copies to the Technical Program chairs that are listed below.
  • Abstracts should state the names, affiliations and contact information of all co-authors. The name of the presenting author should be underlined in the abstract.
  • The author will provide the presentation paper and biography documents in ASTR 2011 template after being notified about acceptance of the abstract. Templates for the presentation paper and biography document are available in the ASTR 2011 website. The deadline for submission of the final version of the presentation document is 15 August 2011. Authors are strongly encouraged to send a draft copy of their presentation document to the session chair and receive a feedback before preparing the final version of their presentation document.
