The morning session will have Monica Moloney, Esq., Chief of the Charitable Law Sectionat OhioAttorney General Marc Dann’s Office presenting “Fiduciary Responsibilities and Guidelines for Non-Profit Boards."CEO's, CFO's, board members, and board treasurers will want to hear the perspective of the Ohio AttorneyGeneral on the roles and responsibilities of non-profit boards in the exercise of their specific "affirmative duties".Ohio Attorney GeneralMarc Dann and his staff take their regulatory and enforcement responsibilities seriously and we want to provide your organization the opportunity to hear directly from his office and ask any questions you may have about your board's fiduciary responsibilities and necessary guidelines your organization needs to have in place.
In the afternoon Robert Stillman, GBQ Partners - CPA's, will provide a “hot topic” discussion on recent changes announced by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Internal Revenue Service for Non Profit entities. These changes in accounting, auditing and tax compliance will have a significant impact on your organization beginning January 1, 2008, so let’s allbe prepared.
