2017 Letter from the Owner:
2017 ushers in an exciting time for Oregon'sWashington County. After playing host to the Portland Monarchs and Portland Pit Bulls, Washington County now has a team that can be claimed as their own andbe proud of.
The newly re-branded Washington County Pit Bulls bring in a new era of minor league sports to a community that is extremely proud of its sports. The growing Washington County is already home to another minor-league sports organization withthe Hillsboro Hops. With the expanding development of South Hillsboro, the market and timing for another sports organization couldn't have happen at a better time. High Tech companies flourish in the heart of Silicon Forest. Apparel companies Nike, Columbia, and Adidas all provide the preeminent backdrop fora sports organization like the Washington County Pit Bulls who are looking to sink its roots with.
The last three months have been very eventful with the transition of the re-branding of the Pit Bulls. New coaching staff addition,signing a photography service, and formulating our identity for this upcoming season: "Champion bred, Winning attitude, Pit Bull Tough".
There is still a lot of hard work to be done.We will put a product on the field that is marketable which comes from recruiting. We want to recruit not only good talent, but good talent that are home grown. Our goal to have players play in front of their family and friends. The Washington County Pit Bulls also want to build strong community support.
We are very proud of our efforts we have already put forth, proud of our players that have bought in to the system, and extremelyexcited for the communities of the Washington County for having us as a part of their families. Most importantly, we arehumbled with the opportunity to lead these young men that are looking to extending their playing careers.
Spring 2017 cannot come soon enough! The organization is fired up and look forward to the grid iron. Go Pit Bulls!!!
