The 2015 YogaVoice® Intensive

Church of the Holy Spirit, Harleysville, PA

July 19–23, 2015

YogaVoice® is a unique educational training program designed to encourage and develop authenticity in the way people use their voices. The YogaVoice® program is a synthesis of classical Yoga technology and traditional, systematic vocal techniques. Individuals find encouragement to learn about themselves and consequently gain confidence in their ability to express themselves with their authentic voices.

The YogaVoice® Intensive is a week-long immersion course designed to explore the essential elements of the YogaVoice® program, namely the eight-fold path of Yoga described in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali (yama, niyama, asana, pranayama, pratyahara, dharana, dhyana, samadhi), and its direct application in the lives and work of singers (professional and amateur), conductors, pianists, and teachers. Lectures and discussions compliment daily practice in yoga postures, breathing, and meditation methods. Each day concludes with a singing Master Class where participants have the opportunity to make practical application of the material in their singing and performing. As a bonus, a special sound-healing concert is included for participants on Wednesday evening, July 22. This Intensive may be taken as part of the YogaVoice® Practitioner Certification program.

The course is open to singers and yoga practitioners of all levels, from amateurs to professionals. It is ideal for singers or voice teachers who wish to gain a holistic, yogic perspective on the art of singing, Yoga practitioners who desire to cultivate their voices for chanting and singing, and others who wish to discover the joy and beauty of communicating with their authentic voices. Each participant should bring her/his own yoga mat, a lunch, and music to sing on the afternoon Master Classes. Healthy snacks and water will be provided.

Mark Moliterno, the founder of YogaVoice®, teaches the course. Please contact Mark with questions and/or registration requests at . Please write “Intensive” in the subject field.
