Case #1

  • A user attempts to register for one section of a course and sees a Join Wait List button.
  • The user chooses to be placed on the Wait List. Meanwhile, he does not register for another date of the same course.
  • If a roster spot opens up for the section, the user is automatically moved from the waitlist to the roster as a registered participant.
  • The program automatically sends the user an email confirming that he is now registered in the section.

Case #2

When the course has been configured to not allow a user to enroll in two sections of the same course, the user can be registered for one and waitlisted in another.

  • A user attempts to register for his first choice, Section #1, finds the section is full, and clicks to be added to the waitlist.
  • The user then successfully registers for his second choice, Section #2 that had open slots.
  • If a roster spot opens up in Section#1, the user is not automatically moved from the waitlist to the roster as a registered participant. He receives an email containing a confirm link that will, when clicked, will enroll him in Section #1 AND remove him from Section #2.

The user has 72 hours (including weekends/holidays) to register for Section #1. After 72 hours, the next waitlisted user will receive an e-mail with the confirm link.

Case #3

When the course has been configured to allow a user to register for multiple sections of the same course:

  • A user is attempting to register for two or more sections of one course (e.g., sessions of a conference).
  • The user registers for the first section and is added to the waitlist of the full second section.
  • If a roster spot opens up for the second section, the user is automatically moved from the waitlist to the roster as a registered participant.
