WIC WEEK IN HOUSTON
Women In Construction week is coming up and we are already planning some amazing events for our members and community! Here is just a taste of what is in store for you during WIC Week March 5-11, 2017:
Sunday March 5th: We kick off the week at Bay Area Turning Point Resale Shop.Bay Area Turning Point, Inc. provides recovery services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and facilitates violence prevention strategies for societal change in partnership with our community. We have been invited to re-vitalize their resale shop. We need sponsors and volunteers! Please let us know how you can help. Sunday March 5th, 18207 Egret Bay Blvd. 8am-5pm.
Tuesday March 7th:Fluor Lunch and Learn. Today’s topic is about the Training Center in Pasadena and Offering Services through Ameco. Lunch will be provided. Meet in the lobby at 11am at the Fluor campus in Sugar Land. 1 Flour Daniel Drive, Sugarland Tx77478 Please let us know you can attend.
Thursday March 9th:Fluor Lunch and Learn.We will meet at 11am in Baytown. Exact location is still being determined. We will Hear about the benefits of NAWIC during this mini NAWIC 101 session. This Lunch and Learn will be at a job site, be sure to wear jeans, long sleeved shirt and safety boots. Please let us know if you can attend.
Friday March 10th: Crawfish for a Cause! Come out and support your Houston Chapter of National Association of Women in Construction. $40 all you can eat Crawfish 6-9pm. Darwin’s Pub, 33 Waugh Drive, Houston TX 77007. Come for the Crawfish and stay for the band.
Saturday March 11th: We end this great week with an organized 5k run/walk in Memorial Park with our friends from Reason2Race. 10am, 1500 E. Memorial Loop Dr., Houston TX 77007. We will meet in front of Smoothie King. Let us know if you can make it!
