The 18th Annual Summit Certamen
The Summit Latin Club announces its annual certamen. The competition will take place at Summit Country Day Middle School on Saturday, October 11th. Registration will begin at 9 AM, and the competition itself will begin around 9:30 or so. The certamen will conclude around 11:00.
Each school is invited to bring teams for each level (I, II, and Upper) with up to 4 players per team. There will be 3 rounds of competition for all teams, and then the top 3 teams from each level will participate in the Finals. Prizes – trophies, ribbons, candy - will be awarded for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams.
Please bring certamen machines to the competition. The more machines, the shorter the competition. BRING MACHINES! If you have any questions, contact Larry Dean at 502-0108 or at .
Directions to Summit, From the North:
-take I-71 South to the Dana Road Exit
-turn left at the light at the end of the exit onto Dana Road
-get in the right lane and stay on Dana for about half a mile
-take a right at the light onto Madison Road
-get in the left lane and stay on Madison for about 1 mile
-take a left at the 3rd light onto Grandin Road
-take a right at the 2nd street onto Breen Street
-take the first left at the Summit gates, fork to the right at the ‘Y’ intersection
-the Middle School is straight ahead through the double glass doors

-take I-71 North to the Dana Ave. exit
-take a left at the end of the exit
-take a right onto Dana at the light
-take a right onto Madison Road
-get in the left lane and take Madison for about 1 mile
