President

The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF) Foundation invites applications and nominations for the position of President.

As the foundation for the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship community, the CBF Foundation provides endowment promotion, administration, and investment services for CBF, CBF related Churches, and CBF ministry partners. The CBF Foundation’s portfolio is currently valued at more than $30 million.

The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship is a fellowship of Baptist Christians and churches who share a passion for the Great Commission of Jesus Christ and a commitment to Baptist principles of faith and practice. Their mission is to serve Christians and churches as they discover and fulfill their God-given mission.

Made up of individuals and approximately 1,900 affiliatedchurches seeking to be the presence of Christ,theFellowship serves a larger renewal movement among Baptists. Partnering with 15 theological schools, 19 autonomous state and regional organizations, and more than 150 ministry organizations worldwide, CBF has an annual budget of $16 million and is based in Atlanta.

Reporting to the CBF Foundation Board, the President will play a key role in providing fresh perspectives, generating programs, and seeking out additional resources that are aligned with the Fellowship’s overall objectives. The President must have energy and integrity as well as the intellectual, analytical, and personal qualities needed to advance the mission of the CBF Foundation.

With at least 10 years of leadership experience in successful advancement operations and/or sales, the ideal candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of all major advancement functions. As the chief strategist in seeking philanthropic support for the Fellowship, the new President must be a person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is committed to the mission of CBF. The new President will be responsible for organizing, supporting, and directing staff and volunteers in fund raising efforts.

The successful candidate will have substantial professional experience building positive relationships and creating a welcoming and rewarding environment that promotes diversity. A bachelor’s degree is required, and advanced study is preferred.
