The prayer group would like to invite you to join us for the Rosary and Novena, at 10.00am on Saturday 2nd December in church. The patron for December is Our Lady of Guadalupe.

CHRISTINGLE

Our special Christingle Celebration this year will be on Sunday 10th December at 3.00pm.The service involves lots of readers and, of course, our Christingle Youth Orchestra. There will be just one rehearsal on Saturday 9th December – Presentation and Readings 2.00-3.00pm and Orchestra 3.00-4.00pm. Then we need you to all come on the day – it’s for all ages! PILGRIMAGE TO POLAND: 17th – 21st September 2018

If you would still like a booking formfor the pilgrimage to Poland, please see Theresa after Mass, and when you have completed your forms, please return them to her, complete with your deposit, by the weekend of 16th–17th December.

FOLK GROUP

Are you hiding your talents under a bushel? Do you play an instrument but have not thought about joining the Folk Group? If so, we are having a “come and meet us” in the Parish Hall, after playing at the 10.30am Mass, on Sunday 26th November. Why not give it a try!

JUSTICE AND PEACE GROUP

The next Justice and Peace Group meeting will be on 29th November, at 17 Grovebury Road. New members are always welcome.

Flyers are available at the back of church with the details of the new Mass times which begin the weekend of 30th – 31st December.

FRIDAY FILM NIGHT

The next Justice and Peace film night is Friday 1st December, 7.00pm for tea and cake ready for a 7.30pm start.It is being timed to coincide with the UN International Day of Persons with Disabilities. We will be showing 'Summer in the Forest' released in July 2017.It is a documentary about the Catholic author and philosopher, Jean Vanier who created the first l'Arche community, located on the edge of a Parisian forest, and traces his activism and faith from wartime to today. L'Arche communities are home for people with learning difficulties and there are now hundreds of offshoots all over the world. Come along and bring a friend if you would like a motivating and uplifting evening.

CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL

This year the Christmas Tree Festival is being held at All Saints’ Church from Friday 24th-Sunday 26th November. Entrance is free – do pop in and see the tree decorated by our very own Jackie Hart on behalf of Sacred Heart.

LEIGHTON LINSLADE CONCERT BAND CHRISTMAS CONCERT

The band will present their Christmas Concert in our Parish Hall on Tuesday 12th December at 7.30pm. Please see the poster on the board for more details.

CHRISTMAS CRAFT FAIR: 25th November, 10am to 4pm

At Chelmscote Manor, Leighton-Stoke Hammond Road LU7 0DT, various crafts including the Glass Pool, Weedon Knitters, Fabric Gifts and cards. Refreshments,raffle and books. Supporting Leighton Buzzard’s homeless. Please see the poster on the board for more details.

AID TO THE CHURCH IN NEED JAM SALE
