PART 2 - ITEM FOR DECISION
1. REDUCING THE LAW ASSURED ENTRY (AEP) PATHWAY ATAR – Ref F58862
By R23/15 the Faculty of Law has recommended that the Law Assured Entry Pathway ATAR be reduced to 97.0, effective 2016 and if approved, the Faculty has recommended that the new minimum ATAR of 97.0 will be retrospectively applied to 2015 applicants of the half cohort. Copy of the Faculty extract is attached (Attachment A).
The Faculty has advised that while reducing the ATAR does not guarantee a place to every applicant with 97 or above, it will allow the Faculty to adjust the ATAR entry from year to year depending on the cohort.
The Chair recommends that the Education Committee recommend to the Academic Council that the Law Assured Entry Pathway ATAR be reduced to 97.0, effective 2016.
