WOR. DAVE ALFSEN / CHARLES T. MORTON LODGE NO. 232
February 2010
Brethren,
I would like to start off by reminding you that our SICKNESS/DISTRESS COMMITTEE
this year is in the very good hands of WOR HARRY BARRANGER JR. (716-2766) and RTWOR BILL BRADSHAW (716-2766). If you are in need of assistance, or know of any of your Brothers that we can help, give these Brethren a call and they will contact the WM or one of our Lodge Brothers that will provide the necessary support. THEY ARE ONLY AS EFFECTIVE AS THE INFORMATION THEY GET FROM YOU.
At the January Stated meeting it was reported that Wor Jack Laursen and Wor Fred Crawford were not feeling well. I've spoken to them both and they are coming along and should be back to their good nature shortly.
Our Lodge has very excellent Lodge ritual instructors that conduct our
ritual school every Wednesday night at the Lodge. They are also
available on other nights. Give the WM a call and arrangements will
be made for one of our qualified Brethren to meet with you. No
examination is required of CTM members in good standing on school or
Lodge nights.
We will be recommending the Nominee and Alternate for the DDGM in
2012 at this month's Stated Meeting. The WM will make the first nomination,
after which nominations will be accepted from those members present.
For future planning: On March 13th CTM will be attending the District Leadership
Conference at the Granby Street Masonic Temple. Doughnuts, Coffee, and Juice will be available at 8:00AM and the conference will begin at 9:00AM. This is a "MUST ATTEND" for all Lodge Officers so that they will be aware of the new changes in the Grand Lodge direction.
For future planning: On May 08th, 8:00 registration. CTM will be participating in the District School of Instruction. CTM, along with NAOMI Lodge and NORVIEW Lodge will be presenting the work in the third section. If it's been a while since you've seen degree work as it should be done, this is an excellent opportunity to brush up on it.
