SIG Suggestions/Comments
Topics discussed as talking points as a result of survey:
- conference calls
- sharing of best practices
- networking
- online contact
- head hunter information
One point discussed is the dominance of 1-2 companies in the SIG, which may not be conducive to sharing information. Some suggestions to be “inclusive”: SIG Virtual Community – ONS Online. There is a list with membership email address. Enter ONS membership numbers for access – jobs will also be posted online; discussion forum. Mission statement and strategic plan also online. Suggestion for PIN SIG reception at Congress for networking.
B. Casarico, C. Ciaschi, S. Summerfield and B. Stumpf volunteered to form a working committee to develop PIN SIG reception at Congress.
