Having been raised with German Shorthaired Pointers, the first Labrador joined our family in the early sixties.
A few years later I imported my first bitch Sunnybrae Kinlochgowrae from Scotland, I started breeding under the praefix “Sunny Loch” in 1966.
In the beginning of the eighties I imported Ch Cranspire Skytrain, father of the well known Ch Receiver of Cranspire, you will find these dogs nowadays in pedigrees of many of the current Labradors shown today.
I have been breeding Labs for 25 years on a small but extremely successful scale.
In 1975 I became a ShCh judge for Labrador- and Golden Retrievers, now I am a Group judge for Group 7 and Group 8.
I have been judging Labradors in many European countries, as well as in Israel and Australia.
In March 2013 I judged Labradors at a Ch Show in Holland and will be judging them again in 2015 at the Ch Show in Bleiswijk.
Next year I will be judging in Finland and Sweden and I just am back home yesterday from the Bangor Show in Northern Ireland where I was happy to make a Labrador Best in Group.
Apart from this wonderful Doggy Life, I have several great hobbies, have been hunting for many years taking my Labbies to do the picking up and also participated in Field Trials.
I am an animal portrait painter, love to work in the garden, and a passionate cook, love sports like Nordic Walking.
At the moment unfortunately I do not have a dog at home, but thoroughly enjoy every dog I am judging.
For me judging is the greatest passion in my life and it is always a wonderful privilege to be invited.
I am looking so much forward to the Labbies in SA and I wish all exhibitors lots of luck and a superb and wonderful day.
