CEBIT 2018: digital shot in the arm for commerce

Hannover. While the future of commerce is most assuredly digital, some players still have quite a bit of work to do in order to get there. In Germany, for example, a recent survey of businesses engaged in commerce by IT industry association BITKOM revealed that 11% of the respondents didn’t even have their own website. What’s more, a massive 77% admitted they were lagging behind on digitization. That’s a lot of untapped business potential.

What both small retailers and large corporations need are bright ideas and new approaches to help them gain ground on their respective digital transformation journeys. From 11 to 15 June, CEBIT 2018 gives aspiring businesses of every description a digital shot in the arm, treating them to a better grasp of the future of commerce, insight into customer-drivensales and marketing strategies, expert guidance on how to build multichannel systems, an overview of current best practices and valuable dialogue with industry peers. Highlights include the “Multichannel & Web Presence” and “Customer Centricity” showcases in halls 16 and 17, which form part of the d!conomy section of the show.
