Summary of meetings:

JUNE:

·  On a motion and second, the Christmas and May luncheon invitations will be emailed to you and those we receive email addresses from here on. Those without emails will still receive them via USPS.

·  The bylaws (rules of order) were reviewed and revised. The bills portion (order for meetings) was deleted. The changes were made on the website. We do not plan on printing and distributing as was practiced in the past. You may print a copy should you want, or contact me and I will email the document for your files.

·  The scholarship in memory of Carol Whitman Moore will be given to a Northampton Community College nursing student this year, if we have no one from the alumni. They do not call them seniors, but their equivalent will be the recipient. We will receive information on the person. The woman I spoke with told me there are strict requirements for the student to follow.

October:

·  The EHSNAA $500.00 scholarship in Memory of Carol Whiteman Moore was awarded to Ryan Gunderman. He is a third year student at Moravian College. He is a friend of an alumnus.

·  We are working with the curators at the Sigal Museum in Easton to present a display of the items donated from the EHSNAA members in connection with National Nurses’ Week, May 6-12, 2016.

Community Service: The scholarship fund has been reinstituted and will be continued through member donations. Our first scholarship was given in memory of Carol Whitman Moore, Class of 1957 by a donation from Dr. Martin and Marge (Piccerillo) Desmery. Applicant preferably should be a family member or friend of alumni. Anyone who knows of a junior/senior in nursing school may inform them that they should write a letter of intent, click onto the link on the home webpage for a copy (it includes school attending, standing, committees, intent upon graduation and any other important information) and send to the EHSNAA, attention Jeane Titus (address below). If there are no applicants from alumni, the scholarship will be offered to a second year (senior) student at the Northampton Community College. (that would be our very last choice, as they have a lot of requirements.)

Fundraisers ongoing include: (donations are always welcome)
