Background

IGPCEA, affiliated to China Earthquake Administration, is a nation-level scientific and nonprofit industry research institution. Its research scopes cover geophysical fundamentals and its applications, which mainly focus on fine-scale lithosphere structure, seismogenic environment and physics of the earth's interior.

IGPCEA is hosting 4 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 1 academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. 6 scientists are appraised as the young and senior scientific experts who have made outstanding contributions to the nation. 61 experts are obtaining special allowance from State Council.

The institute is authorized withone first-level doctor discipline, "geophysics" ，and one first-level master discipline "civil engineering"，secondary-level master discipline "geodetection and information technology " program, which are granted to confer master's and doctor's degrees.

Under 55 years old with the doctor degree (Not required for the applicant with great scientific achievement，such as the academician，winner of Thousands of People Plan，or the awardee of China National Funds for Distinguished Young Scientists).

Research background should be geosciencesrelated.

Applicants at home should have the senior professional position.

Overseas Applicants should havethe assistant professorposition (or the same level)or above who received the tenure fromthe famous overseas university or scientific institution.

Ability of organizing and management, expertise knowledge and teamwork spirit is required for cultivating talents and developing researchdiscipline required.
