SCHOOLS’ WEEK FEBRUARY 4, 2017

Sunday, January 29th marks the beginning of Catholic Schools’ Week, the national celebration of Catholic education and its role in preparing our young people for a life of service to their families, their communities, and to the Lord. We have a variety of enjoyable events planned, and we invite you to join us for any or all of them.

·  Sunday, January 29th Mass at St. Joseph’s Church at 11:00 Mass uniforms must be worn

Light lunch will be served in the parish center immediately following Mass

·  Monday, January 30th Day of Service – Priory Hall at 9:30

Students will be making fleece blankets for Project Linus

·  Tuesday, January 31st School Spirit Day! Wear Trinity Catholic colors with uniforms

6th Grade vs. Trinity Staff Volleyball Game 2:30 in the gym. Mr. Crist, Superintendent of Catholic Schools, will serve as referee

Open Skating at the Oswego State Campus Center 6:30-8:00.

The cost of skating will be paid for by H&S Association. You

must bring your own skates or pay to rent skates at the facility

·  Wednesday, February 1st Celebrate our Nation – Students will create a community

poster reflecting why we love our country

·  Thursday, February 2nd Joe Trionfero will perform for grades PreK-6 at 9:30 in the gym

Presentation of the Lord Mass at St. Paul’s Church at 2:00

Mass uniforms must be worn

·  Friday, February 3rd Prayer Service with Bishop Cunningham at 1:30 in the gym

Students will have their throats blessed for the Feast of St. Blaise

Mass uniforms must be worn

Guest Readers in the classrooms at 2:00

Guests including Bishop Cunningham, Fr. Joe O’Connor, Fr. John Canorro and Deacon Nick will read to students with an ice cream party in the cafeteria to follow

·  Saturday, February 4th Trash & Treasure Sale/Bake Sale/Chicken BBQ 9:00-2:00 in the gym
