Marriott Siebel for I-Server 1.6

Important: Before testing Siebel, make sure the SToDServer is disabled or I-Server is uninstalled from the old server. On any future installs/upgrades/server swaps please make sure either you or the site disables the Siebel Service on the old server. Even if I-Server has not previously been installed it is possible the Siebel interface is running (the legacy version). In this case the service name is 'Siebel To Delphi Interface' not 'stodservice' as it is in the I-Server. If you are not able to get to the old server please have the site verify that Siebel is disabled on the old server.

Manual Steps

Procedure 1, Install the Siebel Connector

Note—Since NIIS and DSI are installed on the same server for Siebel, you only have to run the Siebel connector installer once.

1.Install the Siebel connector from the Siebel Connector Installation CD by running Setup.exe.

Note—This procedure only needs to be performed if using IIS 5.0.

Change the Application Protection on the NIIS Virtual Directory as follows.

Testing

Verify data passes between Delphi & Siebel

1.Call the Marriott Help Desk (1-240-447-3662) and request that a test opportunity (lead) be sent to the property.

"Gnanasambandam, Radha"

Or

"Agnani, Deepak"

The Help Desk should already be aware of this request, as they should have been notified during the Scope of Work process.

2.Verify an XML log file in the log directory exists. This indicates the test lead has been sent and received.

3.Login to Delphi as Breezeop and verify the test booking has been created.

4.Delete the test booking.

5.Create a scheduled task to delete log files older than 30 days.

6.Repeat steps step 1 - step 4 to verify another test lead.
