World Map Assignment
Directions:
1. You must have the title “World Map” on the top of your paper.
2. You will have 7 lines of latitude. Label the 7 lines of latitude, beginning with 90 degrees north. Each subsequent line will be labeled in 30 degree increments (60, 30, 0) until you reach the equator. You will label the lines south of the equator in the same format.
3. You will have 13 lines of longitude. Label each line of longitude, beginning with the first vertical line, in 30 degree increments (180, 150, 120, etc) until you reach the Prime Meridian.
4. The Equator will be the center of your map, dividing it into the northern and southern hemispheres.
5. The Prime Meridian will be the other center of your map, dividing it into the eastern and western hemispheres.
6. All continents and island nations must be colored and clearly labeled.
7. All bodies of water/rivers must be labeled with black pen, all mountains with brown pen and The Equator, Prime Meridian, and both Tropics must be labeled and identifiable.
8. I recommend typing out your labels if you are having trouble neatly writing them in.
