Session Overview
This lesson continues our study under Unit II: “ God Sustains.” Our last lesson helped us see the stability and security that we can experience as believers when we seek the Lord as our refuge (see Psalm 46:1). Today’s lesson highlights how God sustains us by providing good leadership for His people. We are living in a time and culture in which our world is facing many ciritcal global issues. War and famine continue to escalate, causing mass divisions that perpetuate more segregated living. Sexual immorality is becoming something that we accept as normal. As we see laws changed to accommodate the homosexual agenda, we are in dire need of good leaders. Only God can lead us through the problems we face. (Adult Bible Quarterly)
October 31, 2010–Lesson 9–Psalm 63:1-11
Reaching Higher Levels of Understanding and Faith!
“…Grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”

CONGREGATIONAL HYMN
JUST AS I AM
Just as I am, without one plea
But that Thy blood was shed for me,
And that Thou bidst me come to Thee,
O, Lamb of God, I come.
Just as I am, though tossed about,
With many a conflict, many a doubt,
Fightings within and fears without,
O, Lamb of God, I come.
Text: Charlotte Elliott Tune: Evelyn S. Curenton Hymn 344
~ OFFERING MEDITATION ~
Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy.
That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate.
Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
1 Timothy 6:17-19
