Opening of School To-Do List

1.  Go to www.charmsoffice.com. Hover over ENTER/LOGIN. Click on PARENTS/STUDENTS/MEMBERS. Enter the school code baileyband and click on ENTER CHARMS. Where it says STUDENT AREA PASSWORD, enter your CMS student ID number and then click enter. Click on the blue person to update your information. This is the main way we send out e-mail so please make sure you add that information. MAKE SURE YOU CLICK UPDATE in the top right corner to save your changes. Please e-mail Ms. Petersen if you have any problems.

2.  If you are able to receive texts, please go through the following process to receive texts from Ms. Petersen. This is a free and safe app called REMIND 101. Sign up for the classes/ensembles in which your child participates.

3.  Decide which one of the three ways you are going to submit practice logs. Practice assignments are on this page: www.baileymiddleschoolbands.weebly.com

a.  On www.charmsoffice.com (Online and free. Have to enter your time.)

b.  On paper form (Have to enter your information and turn it in to Ms. P.)

Week 1 – August 28-September 3 is Extra Credit.

Week 2 – September 4-September 10 (22 minutes daily or 150 minutes

weekly) (Each minute over 150 is 1 point extra credit.)

4.  Complete your band forms and submit them one of two ways.

a.  Print out the following forms and complete them. Take them to Ms. P.

b.  Complete the form online and submit it to

·  Band Handbook Agreement

·  Concert Uniform Policy

·  Online Practice Honor Code (for students logging practice time on Charms)

5.  Label your case clearly with your name. Label all books and folders. Percussionists – label sticks and all drum/bells parts. Percussionists only need their snare and top part of the snare stand at school. Percussionists are to carry books/music and sticks/mallets back and forth to school.

A Day – bring your instruments on Wednesday and Friday this week and next week.

B Day – bring your instruments on Thursday this week and Tuesday and Thursday next week.

6.  Hang an A Day/B Day calendar where you will see it often. Ms. Petersen does not buy the excuse that you did not know what day it was.

7.  If you are a band member with at least one year of experience, you may fill out an application to join Performing Band and/or Jazz Band. These are also available under Announcements on the Home Page at
