Bendigo Overnight Tour: February 25 & 26 2017
The Bus and Coach Society of Victoria is holding an overnight tour to Bendigo in February 2017, travelling via coach generously provided by Bayside Coaches. We will visit several local operators including Bendigo Coachlines, Christian’s (TBC), Flood’s, Houlahan’s (TBC) and Whitmore’s among others. We also plan to ride the historic Bendigo Talking Tram along with inspection of their facilities.
We will stay overnight in Bendigo at the Barclay on View motel, a stone’s throw to the CBD for dinner.
Departure Times:
We will depart Southern Cross at 9am on Saturday February 25, returning around 6pm on Sunday February 26. On request we’ll also pick-up at Tullamarine Airport at approx. 9:30am Sat and set down approx. 5:30pm Sun – please advise if you require an airport stop when booking. Additional metropolitan pick-up points as well as at Bendigo Station will be advised closer to the date.
Rates (including continental breakfast):
$80 per person for a triple room.
$100 per person for a twin room.
$160 per person for a single room.
$180 couples’ rate for a queen size bed for two.
$12.50 per personper day for those meeting us in Bendigo.
$5 per person cooked breakfast supplement
Non-members should add $10 per day to the above rates.
$5 off for under 16s but must attend with a parent or guardian.
16 or 17 year olds will require parental permission, again $5 off.
Fare includes transport to/from Bendigo, one BBQ lunch and acontinental breakfast. Other meals will be at your own expense.
Booking deadlines:
Members, along with others who previously expressed a formal expression of interest, are required to pay a $20 deposit to secure their spot no later than November 30. Those joining us in Bendigo are requested topay a $5 deposit to secure their place onboard.
General bookings will then be offered on a first come, first served basis until December 31 (again $20 deposit required).
Residual payment for all attendees must be made by January 31. Shift workers will be granted flexibility to cancel up to 7 days prior (full refund) should rosters prevent them attending – please indicate this on the booking form.
The attached booking form should be returned via email to or via mail when paying your deposit.

Alternatively, send a cheque or money order of $20 (or full payment)payable to “Bus and Coach Society of Victoria” along with the attached booking form to P.O. BOX 33, Caulfield East Vic 3145.
Cash deposits (and full payments) will be also accepted in person to Paul Kennelly at the Yarra Glen display on November 13 or at the next social meeting at Hawthorn Tram Depot on November 20.
