COURSE DESCRIPTION

Future Pathways is designed to introduce students to Technology Education, Family and Consumer Sciences, Business and Keyboarding, Speech and Drama, Visual Art, and Foreign Language.Students will develop knowledge and skills in each area, while acquiring a perspective in future career pathways including Industrial and Engineering Technology, Health Services, Business and Technology, Arts and Communication, and Human Services.This course will be presented in a rotational wheel.

UNITS OF INSTRUCTION

1. Transportation, Distribution and Logistics - Students will understand the difference in career opportunities related to transportation, distribution and logistics.

2. Architecture and Construction - Students will understand the difference in career opportunities related to architecture, construction, and engineering.

3. Manufacturing - Students will understand the difference in career opportunities related to manufacturing, transportation, and logistics.

4. Science, Technology, and Engineering - Students will understand the difference in career opportunities related to science, technology and mathematics.

*Through activity based experiences, you will have an opportunity to practice basic problem solving, develop area specific knowledge and skills while relating this new information to future career pathways.

•Student Folder (paper 3-brad with pockets)

•Pencil with erasers
