Thank you for your interest in the position of Trainee Claims Handler with Crash Services Ltd, Belfast.

The Trainee Claims Handler will work alongside their colleagues in the Claims Department, assisting them in the provision of Accident Management Services to Insurance Brokers, Repairers, Solicitors and other introducers and their respective customers who have been involved in Road Traffic Collisions.

The role is an entry level role within the Claims team, where Trainees will develop an understanding of the industry, and an introduction into the processes and procedures of the department. The role is a development role, and over time the Trainee Claims Handler will manage their own cases where they will determine how the customer’s case will be dealt and will provide ongoing advice and assistance to all other personnel involved in handling claims.

Below are guidance notes that candidates must read before completing the attached application form

  1. To allow us to compare candidates in an equitable fashion, short-listing is carried out on the basis of information provided on the application form alone. For this reason CVs will not be accepted. Accordingly we may choose to reject any forms which are not fully completed.

Continuation sheets (if needed) are only applicable to answers in regards to employment history and qualifications. Scoring will be based only on the information provided in each section. Any additional information/sheets will be disregarded and not considered by the shortlisting panel.
  1. If you believe that your qualifications are equivalent to those required, then this must be clearly detailed in your application (a continuation sheet may be used in this case). The panel may request evidence of equivalency if you are called to interview.

Should you have an international qualification you must approach UK Naric for confirmation of equivalency ( UK Naric is a National Agency, managed on behalf of the UK Government that provides an official source of information on international qualifications to individuals. UK Naric provides individuals with written confirmation that they can give to employers that demonstrates the equivalency of their qualifications; it is this level of demonstration that would berequired bythe individualto demonstrate the equivalency of their qualifications.

  1. The shortlisting and selection for this position will be carried out on the basis of Competency. This is where examples of past performance will be used to indicate future performance in the role.
  1. In completing your application you must demonstrate clearly and unambiguously, and give examples, that you meet all the essential criteria. If the panel decides, from the information contained in your application, that you do not meet any one of the essential criteria, then you will not be shortlisted.
