Meeting the MARC!

Maturity:

·  Focused. Organized. Prepared.

·  Completes Task without distractions.

·  Stays in assigned areas without being a distraction to others in the room.

Attitude:

·  Says NO to a bad attitude.

·  Is a Team Player:

o  Helps others on the island that are struggling with concepts or ideas without belittling them.

o  Works together well with the group by listening first and then making conclusions and remarks/comments.

o  Is Cheerful! J

o  Is open minded and listens to ideas of others without judgment.

o  Believes the best in their group members.

Respect:

·  Gives full attention to someone else who is speaking by stopping what they are doing and focusing on the speaker.

·  Shows kindness by actively looking for ways to help out others in the classroom.

·  Gets along with others by supporting their ideas and does not belittle them or joke about their way of thinking.

Class Atmosphere:

·  Students will focus on achieving higher test scores and grades by doing the following on a daily basis:

o  Being prepared for class with all necessary supplies needed for class.

o  Studying nightly for continued success.

o  Participating in class by communicating with each other and the teacher in appropriate ways while paying attention and being aware of class conversations at large.

o  Elaborating on answers and ideas by writing in complete sentences, describing in vivid details, and being CRITICAL THINKERS by asking detailed questions and going deeper into the material on your own.

o  Taking good notes, every day.

o  Completing all assignments in class and at home for homework.

o  Is organized and keeps notebook structured for easy reference.

·  Food, Drinks, Music, and Cell Phones:

o  Students are NOT permitted to eat food or drink in class.

o  Students are NOT permitted to use cell phones in class.

Deal Breakers:

·  You will receive a verbal/written warning from Ms. Pullen

·  Your name will be put on “The Hit-list” and will talk one on one with Ms. Pullen.

·  You will cause your group to lose overall points.

·  Your Tribe can vote you out on tribal council days and you will become…. DUH DUH DUH…

an UNTOUCHABLE.

o  Untouchables have to sit and work alone without the help of others.

§  (If you communicate with, are willfully distracted by, or play with an untouchable, you become one too.)

o  Are disqualified from enjoying any prizes given to their group.

o  After better behavior is exhibited, an untouchable can be reincarnated to their group.

·  If student behavior continues to be an issue, a call home will be made and/or student will be sent to principal for further disciplinary action.

Student Agreement Statement:
