Parking on campus is limited. If you require a

Participants attending both seminars will have access to a FAST Tools Professional subscription service. The service allows you to order FAST CDs and materials for business and instructional purposes at discounted levels. Updated teaching materials for subscribers will be distributed regularly.

These FAST (Farm.Analysis.Solution.Tools) seminars are designed to provide in-depth training to individuals interested in acquiring a comprehensive understanding of the applications of FAST Tools. These workshops will benefit individuals who use FAST as well as those who desire to teach FAST Tools to students, farmers, or clients. The seminars are scheduled to provide detailed education on the FAST Tools in two separate sessions: Financial Management Series and Farm Management Series.

Financial Management

This seminar will cover the following topics:

Farmland Lease and Purchase Decisions, Financial Statement Analysis, and Loan Analysis.

Farm Management

This seminar will cover the following topics: Crop Insurance Decisions, Enterprise and Breakeven Analysis, Crop Marketing and Storage Decisions, and Machinery Decisions.

As a participant, you will receive:

·  FAST Tools Education Manual

This includes detailed teaching plans, instructional tips, examples, and additional handouts for all FAST computer programs

·  FAST CD

·  FAST Tools and Resources Manual

This includes program descriptions that accompany each spreadsheet tool

·  Specialized subscription service for supplies, such as additional materials and CDs

·  Certification as a FAST Tools specialist

·  Refreshments and lunches

The seminars will include:

·  Detailed discussion of each program

·  Instructional tips and handouts

·  Additional resources for learning more about commonly discussed topics, as well as locating required inputs

·  Industry applications of the spreadsheet tools

·  Hands-on experience with each program using laptop facilities (you may bring your own laptop if preferred)
