Job Purpose
- To organise and manage the LI’s CPD events
- To develop the LI’s CPD/ training offer
- To organise and manage the LI’s Chartership examinations
- To manage the ‘Pathway to Chartership’online process and other designated routes to
Chartered status
Responsibilities
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) events
- To organise, manage and evaluate the LI’s CPD programme designed to support the professional development of LI members. To develop and enhance the CPD / training offer.
- To work across the LI, with staff and members, to identify training needs within the profession and develop programmes to address them.
- To develop a CPD blog, and write occasional online articles that support members in their professional development and training.
- To respond to member’s enquiries about our CPD offer providing a high standard of customer service
Pathway to Chartership
- To manage, monitor and report on the operation of the Pathway to Chartership process and the oral examination.
- To respond to inquiries from members and others about the Pathway to Chartership process,providing a highstandard of customer service
- To develop and deliver, in person, webinars and other online training to support Examiners, Mentors and Candidates undertaking the Pathway to Chartership.
General
- To contribute to the development of LI policy in respect of the education and professional development of members.
- To provide management information as required, and contribute to the efficient administration of the Education and Membership Team.
- To maintain a good level of knowledge of and expertise in current trends in the professional education sector and support members in developing their knowledge and understanding.
- As a member of the Education and Membership Team, contribute to the effective administration of that team.
- To attend relevant events as required.(NB some occasional travel and out of hours working will be required for which time off in lieu is given).
Requisite experience
- Experience of organising, managing and delivering a successful programme of events and training.
- Experience of conducting surveys, monitoring feedback, analysing data and writing reports.
- Experience in, or an understanding of, examination processes.
Desirable Key Skills and Attributes
- Education to degree level or equivalent, and familiarity with the chartered professions.
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, including the ability to write in clear, grammatically correct English.
- Knowledge of relevant IT packages and online applications.
- Integrity, initiative and discretion.
- Team player, with a flexible approach to a rapidly developing working environment.
- Sympathy with the objects and purposes of the Landscape Institute and the not-for–profit sector.
