Street Child: Trusts & Foundations Manager

Full time

Salary £30,000

Job description + person specification

Street Child is a UK charity working to protect vulnerable children and improve access to education in some of the poorest communities in the world. We work in Sierra Leone and Liberia, with a new project in Nepal where the recent earthquake destroyed thousands of schools. Our work combines counselling, family mediation, business support, school building, and teacher training. We were a key player in the Ebola crisis and led the global response for children orphaned by Ebola in Sierra Leone and Liberia. We deliver everything through local partners and since 2008, together we have built/renovated 156 schools and are now helping to educate over 40,000 young people.

Our work is expanding and we need dynamic people to help us. It’s an exciting yet challenging time: Ebola is out of the world’s headlines, but its legacy still threatens to destroy lives. We urgently need to raise funds to address this, along with supporting our exciting new project in Nepal. In particular, our current priority is maximising UKAid match: Street Child have been awarded the fantastic opportunity of running a public appeal from April to July, during which all donations will be matched by UK Aid (DFID).
