MINI MUSICIANS (Key Stage 1)

Dear Parents & Carers

I am pleased to be able to let you know about two exciting new clubs at New Valley. Our visiting music teachers, Mrs Parry and Mr Shepherd, are going to be running lunchtime clubs; the details are as follows

MINI MUSICIANS (Key Stage 1)

For children in years 1 and 2

Led by Mrs Parry

Wednesday lunchtime 1.00-1.30

Children will develop their love of music and understanding of musical concepts through learning to play musical instruments, including glockenspiels, percussion and recorders.

BRASS GROUP (Key Stage 2)

For children in years 3-6

Led by Mr Shepherd

Thursday lunchtime 1.00-1.30

Children will learn about playing either trumpet or trombone together as an ensemble. This is open to children in years 5 and 6 who are already having brass lessons in their class, as well as children in years 3 and 4 who want to start learning to play.

For both clubs, children must commit to attending the session during their lunch break each week.

As well as promising to be great fun, this is a brilliant opportunity to receive some free tuition from real music experts. If your child is interested in attending, please return the form below indicating their commitment. We aim to start the clubs straight away this week, and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis, so please return the slip to the school office tomorrow.
