LIFEMEMBERSHIP

Therecipientofsuchanawardshouldbeorhavebeenanexcellentteacher,shouldpossessqualitiesofleadershipandhavebeenintheprofessionasanelementary,secondaryorpost-secondaryteacheroractiveadministratorinthefieldofmodernlanguagesforatleasttwentyyears.TherecipientshouldnormallyhavebeenanactivememberoftheOMLTA/AOPLVworkingonitscommittees,participatinginitsprograms,engagedincurriculumdevelopmentand/orother fieldsof scholarship. ThenomineemustbeacurrentmemberoftheOMLTA/AOPLV,andafull-timeteacherattheelementary,secondaryoruniversitylevel(i.e.notanadministratororconsultant,unlessalsoafull-timeteacher).ThenominationmustbesignedbytwomembersoftheOMLTA/AOPLVandmustbesponsoredbyevidenceofoutstandingprofessionalcontributionandleadershipqualities.Theevidencemustbebasedonactivitiesoraccomplishmentsperformedoveraperiod of at least three years preceding thenomination.Evidence may be in theform of an anecdotal description ofcontributions to the profession oraccomplishments.Pleaseemail the nominationformandcurriculum vitaetotheOMLTA/AOPLVofficebeforeDecember 15,2017.
