Application:HRMS

Module:Human Resources

Business Process:Meet Regulatory Requirements

Requirement Number:HR205

Requirement Title:Ability to generate Workforce Analysis report sorted by part and full time employees for job codes with less than 25 employees.

Module Leads: Lina Simonu, Lisa Lagus

  1. Requirement Description

Describe the requirement (gap). Include a description of the delivered PeopleSoft functionality.

The Commission of Human Rights and Opportunities (CHRO) requires that the Workforce Analysis report generate counts of full and part time employees by job group within each agency on an annual basis for job codes with fewer than 25 employees. UCONN has the same requirement. Connecticut’s Workforce Analysis report counts full and part time employees by headcount, not by FTE. PeopleSoft delivers a Workforce Analysis report that counts the number of employees by job title within job group in each department, but does not track the breakdown of full and part time employees.

  1. Business Need

Provide a justification for the requirement. Include information about frequency, volume, number of users impacted, etc.

The Affirmative Action Regulations (46a-68) determined by the Commission of Human Rights and Opportunities requires that each Agency produce an annual Workforce Analysis report of full and part time employees for each job group . Currently, this information is gathered by the agencies through queries.

Modification Type (On-line, Batch, Interface, Report, Workflow): Report

Complexity (Easy, Medium, Difficult): Difficult

Description: Modify the PeopleSoft delivered Workforce Analysis Report (PER025) to create a two part report. The first part generates results for job titles within each job group for each agency for only full time employees within a job code with fewer than 25 employees. The second part generates results for job titles within each job group for each agency for only part time employees within a job code with fewer than 25 employees. The full/part time status is pulled from the employee’s job record. In addition, modify the report to run by Agency instead of Company or Establishment.
