Director of Finance and Administration (January 2017)

Responsible for financial operations of the company, including Finance, Operations, Information Systems, Accounting and Administration for Multiple corporations. Brought on board to build the companies back office and leadership team.

  • Redesigned the cash receipt processing eliminating 4 hour a day and increasing the accuracy of the general ledger.
  • Created a structured meeting scheduled with property managers and main office. Resulted in a reduction of month end delinquencies by over $60,000 and occupancy levels to increase by 5%.
  • Research and Purchased a Private Jet for the company. The jet will allow the company to provide charter business that will offset company travel to multiple states and the ability to research new opportunities at a moment’s notice. Thusly reducing travel time by over 75%

A manufacturer of pressure-sensitive labels. With multiple presses, Syracuse Label & Surround Printing offers the latest techniques in label printing & flex-pack structures for product packaging. In 1967 our founder, Roscoe Towne, started Syracuse Label Company, Inc.,becoming 100% Employee-Owned through ESOP in 2007.

Director of Finance (April 2016 – December 2016)

Held responsibility for financial operations of the company, including Finance, Operations, Accounting and Administration. Brought on board to build the companies accounting systems, policies, procedures and accounting team.

  • Reduced number of Closing Entries from 25 to 6 which resulted in two less days to close.
  • Developed an automated Time and Attendance Calendar system that reduced the employee tracking and reporting by 4 days
  • Implemented a new product costing system. This resulted in the ability to apply actual cost to the various products thru the printing process.
  • Implemented a new bar coded Raw material system resulting the ability to track inventory by the roll number. Allowing for tighter inventory control and reduced lead times.
  • Developed new financial reporting that wasmore dynamic versus static. Resulting in the ability to produce the month end financial reports in minutes versus days from an AS400 based system.
  • Developed policies and procedures that allowed the facility to move from one to location to its current home without losing a shift of production.
  • Developed a cash flow tracking system that allowed the president to follow the bank versus book on a daily basis.
  • Tracked the expenses and the bond funding concerning the building of new $9 million facility.
