Mission State

Finsart Inc. engages local talent in the creation of collaborative performance outcomes, which are thought provoking that challenge socially accepted norms.

Under the Artistic Direction of Fiona Gardner, Finsart Inc. establishes itself as a major company for the performing arts for the development of the future of the cultural sector and employment within South Australia.

Objective 1 - Audience and engagement

To produce dance performances, workshops and classes that engage with the body to embrace the living act of the performing arts. To give audiences and experience through the physical form and appreciation of the physical bodies capabilities. To produce community engaging projects that are inclusive, diverse and raw. To expand the development of community engagement through classes and workshops.

Objective 2 - Leadership and excellence

To demonstrate leadership in creative excellence through projects and developments for tour ready productions. To expand creative performance outcomes that have ongoing exportation life that represent the creative and cultural diversity through Australia’s national identity.

Objective 3 - Sustainability and viability

To achieve financial sustainability for performance production outcomes through support from the public and private sector. To engage a committed strategic board of governance that is aimed at driving and pushing forward the objectives of Finsart Inc.

Principle Purpose

Creation of New Work

Under the Artistic Direction of Fiona Gardner, Finsart Inc. supports the creation of projects that are produced with artistic excellence that uses a diverse range of theatrical attributes across film, technology, aerial harness, research and theatre. Finsart Inc. aims to support the creation of previous works and development for tour ready productions.

Community engagement

Finsart Inc. engages the community through a range of movement practices. The general public engagement through Pilate’s, Yoga and Tai-Chi Ballet that are mainstream movement that embraces the diversity of dance movements and experience. Contact Improvisation that develops the creative ability for partner dancing through contemporary dance. Support for local and international dancers, performers and teachers in the delivery of workshops. To support artist in residence to produce events, create work and performances. To educate the broaden the public, governments and public in how to support and engage cultural products through academic research.
