General:

There are two issues with Accessory Manager:

  1. When you attempt to start Accessory Manager, Microsoft Access 2000 actually runs.
  2. When Accessory Manager starts, you receive the following error: "Unable to open path to Int1_1.adp", but if you click Ok, Accessory Manager still opens and connects to the host.

The Procedure to Correct the Two Issues

The following procedures correct the two issues with Accessory Manager described in the “Introduction” section of this document.

NOTE: Your logged on account must have local administrative rights to complete thefollowing procedures.

  1. Click Start, and then click Run.
  2. Type: "C:\infocn32\accmgr32\accmgr32.exe."
  3. Click Ok.
  4. Click File.
  5. From the drop-down menu, click Open Session.
  6. Click Int1_1.adp.
  7. Click Open.
  8. Click File.
  9. From the drop-down menu, click Savelayout.
  10. Type: "INT1_1.aww" in the File Name: space.
  11. Click Save.
  12. Exit Accessory Manager.
  13. Click Start, Programs, and then Infoconnect32.
  14. Right-click Accessory Manager 32.
  15. From the drop-down menu, select Properties.
  16. Click the Shortcut tab.
  17. In the target: section, Change “Int1_1.adp” to “Int1_1.aww.”

(Example: C:\infocn32\accmgr32\int1_1.aww)

  1. Click Apply.
  2. Click Ok.
  3. Right-click the Host Connection icon on the desktop.
  4. From the drop-down menu, select Properties.
  5. Repeat steps 10 and 11.
  6. Right-click Start.
  7. From the menu, select Explore.
  8. Click the + sign next to INFOCN32 to expand it.
  9. Click the ACCMGR32 folder.
  10. In the right panel search for “Int1_1.aww,” and then right-click it.
  11. From the drop-down menu, select Properties.
  12. Click the Security Tab.
  13. Click in the box next to "Allow inheritable permissions from parent to propagate to this object."

This will remove the check mark.

  1. Click Copy.
  2. Click "users (…..\Users).”
  3. Select Modify under the Allow column.
  4. Click Apply, and then click Ok.
  5. Close Explorer.
