ABSENTEE BIDDING FORM

Burns & Co – Parkes 11th & 12th November

Invoices forwarded to successful absentee bidders are to be settled within 48 from invoice unless by prior arrangement. EFTPOS or EFT available. Our bank account details will be on the invoice provided at the conclusion of the sale.

The purchaser is simply the highest bidder. Any dispute arising as to the highest bidder is to be determined by the Auctioneer who may re-offer any disputed lot for sale. The Auctioneer reserves the right to refuse any bid or to bid on behalf of clients. Should an absentee / online bidder and floor bidder be locked at the same bid the item will go to the floor bidder. Should two absentee / online bidders be locked at the same bid on any one lot the first registered will be deemed to be the purchaser. NO DISPUTES WILL BE ENTERED INTO AND ALL DECISIONS ARE FINAL.

Whilst every care is taken, the Auctioneer does not accept responsibility for items described incorrectly either in the catalogue or at the auction. Intending purchasers are encouraged to take advantage of the time given to view goods prior to the auction commencing. The Auctioneer is merely the agent of the vendor in the respect of the sale of goods. The Auctioneer shall not be liable for any default of the purchaser or vendor. The Auctioneer shall not be liable for any loss or damage to the goods left in his care by vendors or purchasers. The Auctioneer gives no warranties in respect of these matters and no lots are to be returned to the Auctioneer. The Auctioneer will inspect lots on behalf of bidders who wish to lodge their bids by absentee to ensure that the lots are as described in the catalogue.

As is the practice in all states of Australia, a buyer’s premium of 17.5% (which now includes 10% G.S.T. on the premium only) will operate at this auction for all absentee and online bidders. This allows the Auctioneer to sell goods at a reduced commission for the vendor. This means for each $100 bid, an additional $17.50 will be incurred on the successful purchase

Absentee bids will only be accepted on the prescribed form as below and will be accepted by the auctioneers up until 4.00pm (EST) FRIDAY 10th November 2017. All successful absentee bidders will be notified by email or telephone. Such notification will include information in regard to postal and packing charges – normally $10 per order packing charge (to cover costs such as bubble packing, wrapping paper, etc.) together with postage. The Auctioneer will NOT be responsible for the shipping of mirrors and over-sized items such as pumps, signs, car parts etc (i.e. items unacceptable to Australia Post). Purchasers are requested to make their own arrangements in regard to such items. All items MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE PREMISES PRIOR TO 4PM ON TUESDAY 14th NOVEMBER UNLESS OTHER ARRANGEMENTS ARE MADE. Absentee bidders who wish to make phone enquiries for auction outcomes are requested not to make such enquiries until Monday 13th November and can enquire by calling Ashley Burns 0408 618 294

NOTE: MINIMUM ABSENTEE BID ON ANY LOT IS $30.00. Any amount under this will not be accepted.
