RECRUITEMNT TO THE POST OF LOWER DIVISION CLERK/STORE KEEPER FOR JAWAHAR NAVODAYA VIDYALAYAS UNER PUNE REGION.

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of School Education & Literacy, Govt. of India, invites applications in the prescribed format (Annexure-I), from eligible Indian nationals for filling up of vacancies and drawing a panel of candidates for the posts of LOWER DIVISION CLERK/STORE KEEPER, from UR/OBC/SC/ST Categories on DIRECT RECRUITMENT BASIS in the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas located in various districts of the Pune Region (Maharashtra/Goa/Gujrat/Diu/Daman and Dadar Nagar Havali). CANDIDATES ALAREADY APPLIED IN REPONSE TO THE EARLIER RECRUITMENT NOTICE PUBLISHED DURING AUGUST, 2012 NEED NOT APPLY AGAIN. THEIR CANDIDATURE WILL ALSO BE CONSIDERED ALONG WITH THE CANDIDATES BEING APPLIED NOW.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas are co-educational, fully residential schools up to Senior Secondary level and are located mainly in rural areas. At present 60 JNVs are functioning all over the Pune Region. They being fully residential institutions, the Non Teaching staff is required to stay in the Vidyalaya campus. In addition to normal duties, the non teaching staff is required to perform additional responsibilities attached with residential system of schooling like escorting of students on migration and looking after students’ welfare in general. During the period of probation of the incumbent performance in all these areas is also assessed, in addition to the job ability to determine his/her suitability for the job.

In view of the policy that at least 1/3rd students admitted are girls; efforts will be made to appoint male and female staff in proportion to the number of girl students in Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. Thus, female staff shall be appointed accordingly to meet its functional requirement and ensure safety of girl students.

Details regarding essential and desirable qualifications for various categories of posts, Pay Scales, Age limit, Relaxation of age, Mode of Selection and other related details are given below. In addition to the pay scale and grade pay. Reservation for various categories viz. SC, ST, OBC & PH will be provided as per Govt. instructions

LOWER DIVISION CLERK/STORE KEEPER : -

A. PAY SCALE : Rs. 5200-20200 (Grade Pay Rs. 1900)

B. UPPER AGE LIMIT: 18 TO 27 YEARS (As on 01.01.2015)

AGE RELAXATION :-

Maximum relaxation in upper age will be as under:

(a). Upto a maximum of Five years in the case of SC/ST candidates.

(b) Upto a maximum of Three years in the case of OBC candidates.

(c )Upto a maximum of Five years in the case of Govt. servants/NVS regular employees. An applicant claiming age relaxation under this para should produce a certificate from his/her employer to the effect that he/she is a Govt. servant as on the date of advertisement.

(d) An ex-servicemen who has put in not less than 06 months continuous service in the Armed Forces (Army, Navy and Air Force) shall be allowed to deduct the periods of such service from his/her actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for the post by more than 3 years he/she shall be deemed to satisfy the condition regarding age limit.

(e) Upto a maximum of 10 years in the case of Physically Handicapped (15 years for SC/ST and 13 years for OBC).

The Cut-Off date for determining various eligibility criteria (Educational Qualifications, age limit etc.) will be 01.01.2015. Applicants must satisfy about their eligibility as on 01.01.2015 before applying.

C. EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

ESSENTIAL: Senior Secondary (Class XII) Certificate from a recognized Board with 50 % marks and possessing minimum speed of 35 words per minute in English type writing or

30 words per minute in the Hindi Type writing on Computer (Time allowed -10 mts.) (35w.p.m and 30 w.p.m correspond to 10500KDPH/9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word)

OR

Passed +2 level of senior Secondary from CBSE/State Board with secretarial practices and office management as vocational subjects.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

1. Knowledge of computer operations and data entry acquired either as a subject at +2 level or through 6-months Diploma in computers from a recognized institution or through Computer Literacy Certificate at school level.

2. Experience in accounts/administrative matters in Govt./Semi, Govt./Autonomous organization.

NOTE: 1. Preference will be given to candidate having passed +2 from CBSE with secretarial practices and office management as vocational subjects.

2. The appointing authority shall decide each time depending upon the requirements whether the typing speed should be in English or in Hindi.

(E) BREIF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES TO BE PERFORMED FOR THE ABOVE POST IS

AS UNDER:

1)  LDC/Store Keeper- Typing, Filling work and maintenance of files and records, Diary and dispatch. To maintain stock register for each item of store. To prepare indents in respect of all consumable and non consumable items of stores required for vidyalaya, hostel, mess, staff quarters etc. To maintain files for procurement of stores and submission of proposals thereof for approval. To procure and disburse stationery items and other items of stores. To submit proposals for disposal for condemnation of unserviceable items of store for its write off and for proposals for condemned articles through auction etc. Any other duty assigned by the Office Superintendent/Principal. At the time of taking delivery of the material purchased, he shall ensure that the materials received are counted, measured or weighed, as the case may be. He should also ensure that the quantities received are correct, their quality is good and they are according to approved specifications. To get verified the stores physically from Physical Verification Committee once in a year.

PART II

MODE OF SELECTION

1. The candidates will have to appear in a Written Examination/Trade Test for the recruitment to the above mentioned posts.

2.Candidates admitted to the examination will be required to download an Admit Card from “www.nvsropune.gov.in”. The candidates will be intimated about the same by E-mail. No candidate will be permitted to appear in the examination hall without the Admit Card alongwith information handout and specific instructions.

3.The Written test will consist of papers for the post of LDC/Store Keeper as under :-

4.The decision of the Samiti about the mode of selection to the above posts and eligibility conditions of the applicants written/trade test shall be final and binding. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

Schedule of examination along with the venue will be intimated with the Admit Card and the same will also be notified on website www.nvsropune.gov.in .

PART-III

HOW TO APPLY:

i.  Candidates are required to apply ONLINE through Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Regional Office Pune website at “www.nvsropune.gov.in”.

ii.  Candidates are required to have a valid personal email ID. It should be kept active during the currency of this recruitment. Under no circumstances, he/she should share/ mention email ID to/ or of any other person.

iii.  In case, a candidate does not have a valid personal email ID, he/she should create his/ her new email ID before applying Online.

iv.  Applicants are first required to go to the web-site “www.nvsropune.gov.in”. and open the link 'Recruitment'. Thereafter, open the Recruitment Notification titled as ‘RECRUITMENT OF LOWER DIVISION CLERK/STORE KEEPER - 2014' . Candidate must take a printout of the notification and go through the instructions carefully.

v.  GEN/OBC candidates are required to pay the non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500/-(Rupees Five hundred only) in the form of demand draft. The DD should be drawn in favour of Deputy Commissioner, NVS, Regional Office, Pune payable at Pune. Application fee enclosed in the form of IPO/M.O./Crossed cheques/currency notes or treasury challan etc., will not be accepted. Such applications will be treated as having been received without application fee and will be summarily rejected.

vi.  No fee is required to be paid by candidates belonging to SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/Ex-Servicemen/Women categories.

vii. Candidates are now ready to apply Online by re-visiting the Recruitment Page of the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti’s website and after going to the web-site “www.nvsropune.gov.in”. and open the link 'Recruitment'. Thereafter, open the Recruitment Notification titled as ‘RECRUITMENT OF LOWER DIVISION CLERK/STORE KEEPER - 2014'. Click on this sublink will open up the Common Online Application Form. Candidate must select the appropriate in the application form for which he/she is applying i.e. Female Staff Nurse Or Catering Assistant Or Lower Division Clerk/Store Keeper. The site is best viewed in Firefox 12 / IE 8 / Google Chrome 20, with 1024 x 768 resolution.

viii. After filling up the application form, candidate save the form by pressing save button on the application form. On saving the form, application will send an email to email address provided by candidate while filling up online application form, containing application number & password. Candidates can use the application number & password for further login to site to complete the rest of the application by accessing line(Update line here). Please note that the application must be submitted by pressing “submit” button for consideration by the NVS.

ix. Carefully fill in the complete details in online application form indicating the necessary details from the Fee Payment details, scan and upload your recent photograph and signatures at the appropriate places as per instructions available on the website and submit the same Online.

x. The candidates should take a printout of the online application, affix a recent passport size photograph and preserve it with them for their record. The application printout with photograph affixed will also have to be submitted during document verification at the time of interview alongwith the attested copies of certificates in support of Age, Qualification, Experience, Caste, Caste Validity, Non Creamy Layer, as applicable. Candidates are required to enter the details of DD No. and date etc., in the appropriate column provided in the on line application form. The Original Demand Draft alongwith the copy of the application registered online should be sent by ordinary post to the Deputy Commissioner, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Regional Office, Sheti Mahamandal Bhawan, 2nd Floor, B-Wing, 270 Bhamburde Senapati Bapat Road, Pune-411016. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep photocopy of the DD for future use. (Not applicable for SC / ST / PH / Women Candidates). xi. The name of the candidate or his/ her father/ husband etc. should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the certificates/ mark sheets. Any change / alteration found may disqualify the candidature.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES:

1. The NVS will take up verification of eligibility conditions with reference to original documents only after the candidates have qualified in the written test/trade test. Only those OBC categories which are recognized by Government of India will be considered for appointment under OBC category. Such candidates must produce the OBC certificate as per Govt. India proforma.

2. Results of the written exam/Trade Test will be published on Samiti’s Website in due course. No enquiry in this regard will be entertained by NVS.

3. Canvassing in any form will disqualify a candidate.

4. The Samiti may take up the verification of eligibility of the candidate at any point of time prior to or after the completion of the selection process. Even if Admit Card is issued to a candidate due to lack of information in the application form or otherwise and if it is found that the candidate is not eligible his/her candidature shall be summarily rejected.

5. Any dispute with regard to this recruitment will be subject to the court having its jurisdiction in Pune only.

6.The Samiti may, at its discretion, hold re-examination if necessary in case need arises for the same. In such an eventuality, candidate will have to appear for such re-examination at his/her own cost.

7.No TA etc. will be paid for appearing in the written test/Trade Test.

8. Selected candidates are liable to be posted anywhere in Pune Region.

9.Selected candidates will initially be on probation for a period of two years, which can be extended at the discretion of the Competent Authority.

10.Qualifications acquired by the candidates should be strictly in accordance with the prescribed qualifications. Any candidate seeking claim of equivalence of the qualifications with that of the notified one should furnish documentary evidence in support of their claim at the time of interview/selection, otherwise such cases will be rejected. Similarly, where grades have been given, the position of the mark-sheets showing equivalent percentage of marks should be produced at the time of verification of documents.
