Position Summary
The Private Duty Manager for Castle Personal Care (CPC) is a Registered Nurse who is responsible for developing, marketing and promoting personal care services, supervising and training personnel and coordinating clinical services payers, private pay clients and referral sources. The registered nurse is responsible for supervising the activities of assigned personnel and ensuring availability of services.
Position Qualifications
Minimum Education / Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Hawaii. Must obtain a minimum of 12 contact hours of relevant continuing education a year to retain employment.
Minimum Field-of-Expertise / One (1) year of experience as a registered nurse. Basic computer knowledge and skill in the use of Microsoft Windows applications.
Required Certification/Registration / Current BLS/C biennially.
Current driver’s license in good standing.
Current No-fault auto insurance.
RN license
No Criminal convictions for offenses against persons or property, including but not limited to assault, theft and abuse.
Current TB Clearance
Preferred Experience / At least one year of home care or community health nursing experience. Supervisory experience preferred
Equipment Used / Office equipment, such as FAX machine, computer, cellular phone, and patient care equipment such as pulse oximeter, wheelchair, IV/feeding pumps, blood pressure equipment, walking aides, bathroom equipment, mechanical lift, ventilator, oxygen/suctioning/respiratory equipment, specialty beds and other supplies and equipment as needed
Personal vehicle
Working Environment / Exposure to inside and outside environmental conditions. Some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids; some toxic substances and other conditions common to the home care environment. Variable work sites.
Mental Demands / Ability to work at a fast pace while paying close attention to avoid errors is essential. Able to make cohesive marketing presentations to all audiences. Continually able to remain calm, think clearly and act appropriately in crisis situations. Ability to work with multiple interruptions and continuously prioritize tasks is essential. Must be competent in group processes, team management, written/spoken communication. Able to maintain calm demeanor in all situations impacting team, clients, referral sources and individuals in agency. Must be proficient at self-direction, constantly monitoring goal achievement.
Special Demands / Continually needs little or no supervision to carry out departmental policies and professional responsibilities. Delegates and supervises other personnel. Evening and weekend on-call responsibility as appropriate.

Ages of Clients Served / This position allows care and interaction with clients of all ages. Some of the interactions involve the pediatric population. Consequently, the associate must be competent in the interpretation of a client's self-report or behavior understanding the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological maturation process. The treatment of clients should be individualized and should reflect an understanding of the developmental needs and range of treatment needs for each client.

9. Implements Plan of Care in a timely and accurate manner according to departmental clinical standards. Consistently follows chain of communication if questions appropriateness of case management. / [ ] [ ] [ ]
