Tutor - Business Admin, Customer Service,Retail
Job Description
Reporting to either the Training co-ordinator or the Centre Manager the main purpose of this post is to manage and deliver training and assessment toyoung people and adults in a range of locations in the specified discipline(s).
Main Duties:
- Plan and deliver high quality (grade 2) training sessions.
- Visit learners in the workplace and assessing / tutoring them in their NVQ qualifications
- Creating and maintaining high quality learner portfolios
- Planning and implementing initial assessments and course reviews with learners
- Ensure full schemes of work, lesson plans and relevant resources are available for each session
- Support with employer engagement by identifying and growing placement opportunities within the relevant sectors.
- Contribute to on-going development of materials, resources and curriculum in line with organisational, funding and Awarding Body requirements.
- Achieve set targets in terms of recruitment, retention, achievement and progression of learners.
- Maintain effective and efficient administration systems. Provide reports as required internally and externally.
- To provide internal verifying and moderation as required.
- Attend and contribute to local, regional and national team meetings as required.
- Liaise with external agencies as required.
- Undertake regular supervisions and observations as required.
- Ensure all work carried out is done to the best interests of CSV Springboard and our learners and help promote the work and reputation of the organisation at all times.
- Comply with all CSV Springboard policies and procedures.
- Promote and maintain a safe learning environment with special reference to health and safety, confidentiality, safeguarding and equality and diversity.
- Undertake other duties, when reasonably required by their Manager.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
Essential Criteria
- Relevant vocational experience in business admin, retail and customer service.
- A1, D32/33, TAQA L3 Qualified
- Relevant teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed/PTTLS/DTLSS) or willingness to work towards.
- Minimum 2 years experience of planning, delivering andaccessing learning to young people, including the development of individual learning plans.
- Experience of working within and embedding quality assurance in teaching and learning.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences.
- Ability to achieve set targets within specified timeframes.
- Excellent literacy, numeracy and ICT Skills
- Good team working skills and ability to work independently and take responsibility for own areas of work.
- Ability to motivate, enthuse and develop positive attitudes in young people and support them to overcome barriers to learning and progression.
- An understanding of and commitment to Safeguarding and equality and diversity.
This role will be subject to a satisfactory DBS check being completed..
Desirable Criteria
- Experience of working with disadvantaged young people and adults in a training environment would be highly advantageous.
- Knowledge and experience of delivering within local area/community.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent

Hours: 35 per week
Salary:£22,923 includes LW
