Junior Analytics Manager: Sydney
Reporting to–Senior Analyst and Insights Strategist - Strategy Department
Key Function
The Junior Analytics Manager will assist the Analytics lead on measurement, testing and reporting on our Clients' digital campaigns and platforms. You will liaise closely with digital strategists, UX, producers, product teams, digital planners and the account teams campaign and site measurement plans, regular insights reporting and presentations.
In the role you will be required to proactively lookahead at how web analytics can be used and implemented for accurate data collection and return.You will assist in the development of forward thinking, data-driven recommendations that align with client business and communications objectives. Quantify opportunities with clear recommendations and present these to internal stakeholders and clients when applicable.This role requires collaboration with clients and internally on how to architect/optimise campaigns.
Specific Duties
TheJunior Analyst Manager shall perform the following specific duties:
Measurement Planning
- Develop a measurement plans and KPIs to best reflect the purpose and desired outcomes of the campaigns.
- Oversee the correct implementation of the tags and other tracking tools as required to deliver the plan.
- Consider and recommend ongoing a/b and MVT test & learn approaches
Site Analytics Audit, Strategy and Implementation
- Analytics setup auditing
- Set-up conversion funnels
- Set-up visitor segments for ongoing comms/media
Analytics Reporting
- Production and delivery of monthly and ad hoc reports as required.
- Provide stakeholders with reports that are easy to understand and actionable.
- Conduct investigative analytics reports to inform the customer journey experience. (Examples include user content priorities at different user stages, and segmentation by different demographics).
- Delivery of dashboards as required. Automating reporting data feeds as much as possible through the use of APIs.

Tag Management
- Maintain a single point of reference for all known tags and measurement strategies in place across designated accounts (utilising GTM where appropriate)
- Oversee the correct implementation of the tags and other tracking tools as required
- Vigilant towards the improper use of tags across the business
- Educate technical teams as to tag’s purposes and correct implementation of tags.
- Work technical teams to QA data from tags and make adjustments as necessary.
Commercial Opportunities
- Provide structured audits of client’s site analytics and marketing technology
- Identify paid projects to improve our clients’ analytics configuration, site experience and conversion rate optimisation
- Work with internal stakeholders to formulate commercial packages to sell to clients. Present packages to clients with subsequent delivery on sign-off.
Esential Skills & Attributes
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing / Business, Computer Science, Statistics/Mathematics or equivalent work experience in a technical or business/technical blended field required.
- Minimum 2-3yrs experience in advertising, research, media and/or marketing environment.
- Good understanding of digital marketing (affiliate marketing, SEM, display advertising, social media, SEO, and email marketing)
- Data, analytics, and metrics collection, organisation, preparation, analysis, and reporting.
- Experience with online monitoring and/or measurement tools eg. Search Console, Omniture, Facebook Insights, YouTube Insights, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Radian6, HootSuite advantageous
- The insight to identify problems and not only take measures to rectify them but also the ability to define the Key Performance Indictors to measure their effectiveness and success.
