Hello, and welcome to the Great American Beer Festival (GABF)! We’re pleased to welcome you to Denver as a credentialed journalist. We’ve compiled some basic facts and information for your reference.

Festival Hall Access (15 minutes before ticketholders)

  • Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights: 5:15 p.m.-10:00 p.m.
  • Saturday afternoon: 11:45 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Media Center
Credentialed media have access to a space on the lower level of the Convention Center, around the corner from Will Call. The media center offers water, coffee and Internet access to conduct business. The room hours are listed below. Equipment storage is available (leave items at your own risk), but the room will be locked each night at 10:00 p.m.

  • Thursdayand Friday: 5:15 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
  • Saturday: 11:45 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Festival Highlights

  • The Beer Geek Program iscomposed of 110 committed beer lovers from throughout the country who support and mentorGABF volunteer servers and ultimatelygive the 49,000 festival participantsa deeper understanding of what they’re tasting, and where it fits among the 90 beer style categories in the event’s competition.
  • The Brewpub Pavilionhas grown to include 36breweries representing all regions of the country and has been redesigned to offer an even richer atmosphere for enthusiasts to enjoy. Now’s a great time to experience what it’s like at a local watering hole; more than 40 percent of the more than 3,000 US breweries are brew pubs.
  • The Beer & Food Pavilion and the Brewers Studio Pavilion, featuring prominent brewers and chefs from around the country.
  • The GABF Pro-Am Booth, featuring94top collaborations between homebrewers and professional brewers.
  • The free My GABF App is back tohelp you find breweries, take notes and be guided on themed tours of the festival hall.

Awards Ceremony Location
The GABF Awards Ceremony takes place in the Bellco Theatre in the Colorado Convention Center at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. The ceremony is open to all media credentialed for any session. Please remember your badge.

Media Luncheon and Briefing
A special craft beer and food pairing luncheon and media briefing featuring small and independent brewerswill be offeredat the Grand Hyatt Denver, 1750 Welton, from noon to 2:00 p.m. on Friday. RSVP required; space is limited.The Media Luncheon and Briefing is key to your coverage of the festival.We thank you in advance for arranging your schedule to attend. Note: Since the event has limited space, itwill be seated on a first to RSVP basis. This event is for credentialed media only, and starts promptly at noon. No-show seats will be filled from the waiting liststarting at 12:15 p.m. Note: This is NOT the Hyatt across from the Convention Center.
