Caps and effects:Closurelogic presents latest closure developments at BrauBeviale 2016

Worms, xx October 2016 –closurelogic GmbH has expanded its portfolio: At this year’s BrauBevialefrom 8-10 November 2016 in Nuremberg, the company will introduce new embossing and spraying technologies for outstanding aluminum caps and greater visibility at PointofSale. At their stand in hall 4, booth 537, closurelogic also invites visitors to discovera variety of closure systems for different aluminum bottle formats.

A new embossing technique allows for even greater appeal of aluminum(MCA) closureslike Talog® and Rondo. Adetailed embossing on the cap’s top allows to replicate neat contours and fine writing. This creates a premium look and superior feel with a more coherent brand experience.

Closurelogic has further invested in a new spraying technologytorefine 30x60 millimeter LongCaps with different pigments. The technology allows to produce mesmerizing effects, including matte, metallic and soft-touch surfaces. “Once sprayed, the multi-faceted closures are a viable alternative to corks with tin casings, and speak to the needs of premium customers in the wine industry,” emphasizes Javier Muñoz, CEO of closurelogic. “The investment thus constitutes a bold step forward to tap into crucial market segments.”

Two solutions for capping aluminum bottles

The company will further introduce the28 mm Can-Log, a novel closure system foraluminum bottles developed at its Worms site, Germany. The cap matches Ball Corporation’s (former Rexam) “Fusion” bottle. Being lighter in weight compared to caps imported from overseas, the Can-Log ‘made in Germany’ will be a competitive solution for this packaging format. With its BPANI lacquers and special sealing insert profile, the closureensures optimum protection forsoft drinks as well as energy and low-alcoholic beverages, while making for safe cold filling and pasteurization. Can-Log is currently being field tested in Austria and will be commercially available in 2017. First test results are expected to be available at BrauBeviale, where visitors will learn more about the cap’s characteristics, including its suitability for multi-color printing.

The second closure on display, the 28 mm Star-Log, was first showcased at BrauBeviale 2015, and isbased on closurelogic’sprovenROPPclosure. Star-Log has been exclusivelydesigned for Ardagh Group’s MCA aluminumbottle. “The metal containerbenefits from Star-Log’s BPANI lacquer and modified liner geometry to protect a large range of beverages. The closure ensures highest product safety, while perfectly fitting the design and material of the packaging solution,”explains Javier Muñoz. Just like the Can-Log, Star-Log is suitable for all production processes and can be printed in manydifferent colors.
